2006 wheel for a 2015

Recommended Posts

hey all, i got 2006 wheels off a 400 exc for DS use on my 2015 450 xcw. all use 20mm axle. but i cant get my wheel spacers from my 15 to the 06 wheels as the bearing in the 06 wheels is to small to allow the spacer thru.

so my question: can u just replace the bearings and the center "bearing distance tube"?

It looks like that wheel has the heavy duty bearings.  You need different spacers for that setup.

They are probably something like the following, where the axle rides on the bearing directly. The stock bearing setup has the spacer slide within the bearing to space down to the 20mm axle.

And yes you can put stock replacement bearings back in the hubs.
