Yz250 linkage

Recommended Posts

I do not know the length of the various linkage pieces, but the parts list shows that...

...the relay arm has been the same from 2005 to current.

...the connecting rod (dog bone) has been the same from 2006 to current.

Good luck, and keep us informed with what you find.

Okay, cool. The "1C3" stamped into the dog bone is a YZ 2-stroke part. The "33D" means it's a 2014 450F part.

Are you considering running the 450 dog bone on your YZ? There is a thread here somewhere where a guy did some linkage swaps and recorded the various dimensions of the parts and their effect on the suspension. I think it's the '09 4-stroke swingarm swap thread...

I cannot believe after over a decade there is not a single site that has the true measurements of this part

I did a little searching through the forum and found this...

i will try to figure out how to do the picture thing on here. because that sure would be easier. the dogbone length from the centers of the pivot holes is 145mm.

Being the 250 two stroke comes with the 145 link, I wonder if thats what should be in place with the 09 arm? Talking two stroke here.

It sound like the 2-stroke dogbone is 145mm long.
