Subframe thread insert missing

So I bought a used subframe off of eBay. It's straight and I was happy with my purchase until I inspected the bolt holes. One hole is missing the metal thread insert that the plastics mount to. Is there any way to take the insert out of the old subframe and put it in the new one? For a kx250f.

no,do not think that would work. not sure of the proper term (swage?) but a threaded piece is inserted into a hole then spread so it can't move. I believe autobody shops are usually equipped with the proper tool and threaded inserts. Hope this helps

I'm trying to do this as cheap as I can. Those timeserts seem expensive from the search I did.

As cheap as you can is doing nothing to no bike. You bought a machine. This is an investment. Either go OEM or a sert is a quality permanent repair Id trust.
Fill the hole with JB weld, let it cure. Not dry, cure. And tap what you need. Thats the cheapest will work fine way next to zipties
