Jetting Question MRD and 3x3 (Sorry, i know it gets asked a lot)

Hey folks, I recently got a 2003 DRZ400s after wanting one for quite some time. Got new turning lights on, headlight, taillight. Have a manual cam chain tensioner and case protectors on the way and radiator guards installed.

But now it's on to performance stuff. After 6 weeks my MRD SSW has arrived along with my JD Jet kit. but i need some assistance on what to tune the carb to with the provided parts in the jet kit so i don't have to try the hit and miss method of tuning.

3x3 mod (Stock Air filter)

MRD SSW

1200 FT Elevation

Stock Carb

around 75-80 Degrees temp

Thanks, wasn't quite sure where to look for my specific Elevation and such. Sorry again for another jetting post.

The instructions in the kit should be pretty much on the money

I thought the instructions were basic guidelines, how could they account for specific exhaust or the 3x3?

Mine was spot on from the instructions i think they figure if you are jetting it you will do the 3x3 mod

Most exhausts are similar and they expect the 3x3.

You really have to know the machine to feel you are off a size or 2 on the main.

Il'm just a contributor, don't know the originator but my helmet's off to the idea.  Great tribal knowledge for DRZ jetting.
