2007 kx250f running lean

So my 2007 kx250f seems to be running lean. It backfires a lot on deceleration. Currently it has a 40 pilot jet and a 182 main jet. Elevations between 250-1500 with a fmf slip on pipe.

I had a full FMF system on mine and it really ran good with a 42 pilot and 178 main. Lots of good info on the web for tuning this carb. Do the accelerator o ring mod and get a fuel screw that you can adjust easy. I recommend the R&D fuel screw.

Going to the 42 is very common and one of the first things most recommend. I'm between 400 and 850 for my elevations in tx.
