125 Cr 125 2002 won't go in 1st gear

Recommended Posts

So I have a cr 125 2002 model. It runs fine in any other gear but when you put it in first gear it wants to go but it doesn't move. Any ideas?

Yup, first gear has probably broken a tooth or two. Change the oil and put the oil through a fine sieve look for metal, shavings.

time to split the case mate.

also that's a 98 or 99

It involves removing the engine and taking the two cases apart , basically taking the engine completely apart to get to the gears.

if you are  mechanically inclined it can be done with a service manual and correct tools. If not you need to take it to a  reputable motorbike rebuilder.

So what would should I do as I don't know my way around a engine that good? Is it a hard job to do?

There's 3 videos to watch from RMATV. This is number one.

Also, your bike is not a 2002. It's a 1998/1999 model instead.
