Checking Coolant Pump

Recommended Posts

Hey All,

Does anyone know how I can check to see if my coolant pump is working properly?

I have a 2010 Beta 450 RR. I'm running Evans waterless coolant. It also has the Aux fan kit, which I'd like to move off thermostat to a manual control switch, or, somehow adjust so that it comes on earlier. Anyone have any resources about this?

Thanks!!

Chris.

Should be able to remove the radiator cap, start the engine and see if coolant is flowing.

I bought a fan temperature switch for a KTM that kicks the fan on at 203f/95c.  I got it off ebay - http://www.ebay.com/itm/322088119247?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Thanks for that! Very cool, no pun intended. manually switches a pain at least for me...

I just ordered one of these. Giving my 450 a little better chance of starting the fan earlier in the temp range.
