How did nothing happen to RC for 2 years?

The more I watch motocross lately the more it blows my mind Carmichael went undefeated for 2 years. No debilitating start (even RC might not have been able to come back from 40th) no mechanicals? No wrecks?

With all the variables it really seems impossible now.

That said Tomac really lives by the scientific law of "If it can happen it will"

Although RV never went undefeated does anyone recall him having a mechanical in the 450's?

Yeah I was thinking the same.  RC broke a shock in SX but I don't recall any mechanicals outdoors.  He had one of the best mechanics ever though in Goose.

Its amazing how in racing, it's so much more than just being fast.

 

Guess that's why Carmichael and Dungey were so impressive.

I'd give some well deserved credit to their mechanics too.

the reality is that Kawasaki will probably never release the info to tell us what actually was the problem with the front brake and Pro Circuit will not tell us what happened to the 250's....buyer beware...

I think this more than anything. At least Roczen salvaged a good result on a blown fork.

Is it true that since RC raced there are fewer all-purposes mechanics and more specialists: "Suspension Technician", "Powerplant Tech", "Goggle Bro Tech"", "Cold/Wet Towel Chick Tech", all that?  Matthes was talking about it on a podcast. Factory Kawi needs to hire a "Front Brake Technician".

 RC has 4 guys attached to his bike at Honda and Suzuki but Goose was the mechanic at the races.  

 

RC had a goggle bro and  gear bro too.

It was funny to look at Kawi "tech" talking about the front wheel instead of doing anything practical. 

It would have been faster to swap everything.
