2014 CRF250R won't start after rebuild top engine

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Just have my top engine rebuild due to heating issues.

Got not piston, out and ex valves and also rebuild kit for my water pump.

Now it's really hard to start and idle, my mechanic think my TP sensor has malnfuction.

(He told me he checks the valves twice and every thing is ok there)

following a video with the values from the TP sensor.

on the video you can see that after opening the Throttle 1/4, the value get back to 1.

What do you think?

Looks like your multimeter is set for 2K ohms and it is going out of range.  Try the next higher range.

hard to start with rough idle after a rebuild is usually cam timing off 1 tooth if valve clearances are ok. If you didn't screw with your TPS and the bike ran fine beforee the rebuild, the TPS likely didn't magically go bad. Be sure blue connector is in TPS and black connector is in MAP sensor. If you swapped them that could be an issue.
