Screw size for kill switch mounting clamps

Hi, I bought a new bike that happened to have the head of the screw that holds the mounting clamps for the kill switch stripped.  It's the standard tiny little screw.  It's for a 2014 yz250, but I can't seem to find exactly what size that screw is.  I'm thinking a 2mm, 2.5mm or so.  It's the same as my KTM. Does anyone happen to know?

Go to the hardware store and spend 50cents and buy every size available?

Or if you're frugal (cheap) like me, take the mounting clamp to the hardware store with you and fit up the right screw when you're there. Note that the thread is probably metric but could be U.S. standard if it's aftermarket.

I'm going to guess it's a 3x.50 mm. Could be way off base, so Smoking 2's or 76etdrvr have the best solutions.

It's the size of a small zip tie.

Yep, its a m3.  I was at work and didn't have the screw or clamps with me, so thought I would ask.
