I done messed up.

Recommended Posts

I have the 2007 Crf150r and I was trying to remove the rear wheel bearings but the bearing was so corroded that the bearing circlip fell out and then the ball bearings fell out leaving just the outer bearing still in the wheel hub on the disk break side. How do you suggest remove if it? I have a lathe. Or could I just weld something on it to remove it?

Easy fix.  Just weld a bead around the inside of the bearing.  It will shrink the bearing when it cools, then it should fall out.  Works for steering head bearings, too.

Also a Dremel works wonders on these. Obviously the cutting discs can cut a groove or two, but I have also had good luck using the grinding "rollers" to grind a groove

That was my backup plan if things didn’t work out well with the flat head.
