SSR 189 Spark Arrestor

Daughter is getting back into riding and am in need of a spark arrestor for her 2016 SSR 189, anyone know of an easy mod to insert a spark arrestor (like a pro motobillet or ??) or a universal muffler with spark arrestor?

Are you sure the OEM muffler doesn't have an internal SA?

It does not have an SA out of the box, SA's for this bike have not been produced until recently. Pro Circuit makes a system for it and then the Universal FMF is supposed to fit as well. But am hoping to find another cheaper option. Any help will be appreciated.

I went to my local motor cycle store. I found an insert metal screen spark arrestor, that I fit into end of my muffler. It was tinny bit too big, but just collapse the screen and tap it in.  I don't remember if I used a screw to hold it, I suggest to use one.  Mine passed state Park check in with no problems.

Thanks. Do you happen to recall what brand the screen is that you bought?

I went to muffler section of the shop, and they had all kinds. You just need any brand insert screen, shaped like a cone, . I hit mine in flush, compressing  some of the screen. Then added couple screws, into holes I drilled. Just so I don't have to turn around and go back, to find a blown out one that fell off..

Take your muffler tip ,with you, to find one that fits close.
