Post your temps...XR650R with Trail Tech Vapor

Recommended Posts

I am wanting to hear what everyone is getting with similar setup. My bike is stock motor, stock carb with 175 main jet, 68s pilot, optional needle at 3groove stock air filter. Air box has both pieces removed. And a new XR'S ONLY slip on exhaust.

On a day at 85F and at sea level road riding, I am seeing 155f on my TT Vapor and at stop lights it will climb to 195. I am thinking I could go alittle leaner, seems to me bike should be running a little warmer. But I could be wrong, its my first liquid cooled bike.

I placed the sensor in the hose coming from the head going to the thermostat. Thats where the TT Vapor instructions stated for the xr650r.

That's about where mine runs. I went for the radiator fin sensor and not the inline hose sensor. I have the TT KTM fan setup on mine and make it kick on at about 170. I'd leave it just the way it is.
