how to tighten thumb pods

Recommended Posts

How do I tighten both thumb pods? I am talking about my starter and kill switch on the right thumb, and the headlight/turn signal on the left thumb...

I tried the upper and  lower Phillips screws, but they feel like they are about to strip the screw heads and wont turn anymore

if its a stock bar i dont see why there would be a problem, sounds like youre doing it the right way, if its not a stock bar i would say you might be able to carefully wrap a layer of electrical tape on the bar at the exact location and that should do it ..

When people change bars they grind off the locating pin on the switch housing. Replacement bars aren't drilled for the pin.  As stated above, a bit of tape on the bar will fix the problem.
