Thinking about doing high point amateur day

Never raced mx before been to a track a couple times, never high point. I have a 2013 250xc and Ive raced a lot of hare scrambles in c class getting mid pack results. I really want to do some mx races this year and thought it would be really cool to do high point. Would open d be good for me? How many sand baggers will there be? I'll be in the 2nd class big bike practice right?
