Rim painting

I have a 2008 Suzuki LTZ 400. frame is painted red plastic are black I think it would be cool to have red rims the rims are aluminum what is everyones suggestion for primer paint and top coat do the wheels need to be sanded or just cleaned thanks

I would remove the tires and take it to a powder coat facility. Sand blast and powder coating shouldn't cost more than $75 per wheel and it will be a long lasting premium finish

Try Plastidip.  Lots of info out there about how to, and if you like the look then pay for powder coating if that's your thing.  Good luck.
