Haha but seriously, what does a 08 400ex go for these days? If the cost is relatively equal between your bike and the quad and its in clean enough shape to make you happy then why not.. If you need a quad that is

The 400ex uses the XR400 motor. It's nothing like the MX 4 strokes. As long as it had decent maintenance and hasn't been heavily modified it will run damn near forever
