98 Yz250 she ran great till yesterday need a bit of info

Recommended Posts

traded a guy for it, went out for a good long trail ride probably a 3-4 hours. went to go riding yesterday, had a hard time kicking over, checked the plug it was looking pretty old, went and got a couple new ones. picked up a couple br9es's, put one in kicked over first kick ran great. about 30-45 mins into riding it just died like it out of gas, wouldn't kick over again. No spark. The next day it kicked over first kick with the other same plug. Went and picked up a iridium br8 plug, hopefully it'll run better today. any tips?? thank you

I have the same problem with my yz, same year and everything, it overcharges the plug and fries it. regardless of how rich or lean it runs it quits. I would like to know whats up with it because it's not a heat related issue

although sidenote, this bike calls for an 8 plug because it needs more heat. And the difference between the S and the G plugs is the G is a racing nickel plug and the S is a standard 2.5mm electrode
