KLX 110L clutch plate replacement - need help

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I tried to replace the clutch on my KLX 110L last night with no luck.

I got stuck when I was trying to loosen the clutch basket main nut. I do not have the special 3-pin Kawasaki tool. I have a clutch tool from cycle gear but there is no way to hold the clutch to loosen this bolt.

I tried to do the "wrap a belt around it trick" and that doesn't for this as the in er part of the clutch has to be secured to remove this nut.

Has anyone done a clutch replacement on the 110L?

How difficult was it?

Did you have the special 3 prong tool?

How long did it take you?

Thanks!

TRY AN AIR WRENCH OR EVEN MAYBE A DEWALT IMPACT...SOMETHING WITH SOME TORQUE MAY BREAK IT LOOSE...OR THE TOOLS ARE FAIRLY REASONABLE FROM A KAWI DEALER...IF NOT GO BUY A CHEAP SOCKET THAT WILL FIT AND GRIND THE "TEETH" INTO IT AND MAKE IT YOURSELF!
