Worst sticky throttle ever

Recommended Posts

Ive changed my grips on multiple bikes probably a dozen times. Never an issue, but I went out and purchased a grip glue I have never used before and the consistancy was much more watery than any ive used before... Long story short when I turn my throttle it sits where I put it; ei, i pin the throttle it stays there, and wont go back on its own. Just wondering if anyone has a fix for this without me tearing my brand new grips off ?. Any help would be appreciated.

You could take your throttle tube off and look to see if the glue ran between your throttle tube and bar...I've done that...gotta clean off all excessive adhesive...grip can stay on throttle tube.

that's right...after cleaning out the excessive adhesive, reinstall the throttle tube...push it all the way in until it makes contact...then pull it out a bit to make a bit of clearance...then tighten clamp on the bar.
