Sprocket Cover

Recommended Posts

I find that the sprockett cover on my 2015 exc causes tons of mud, grass, and debris to pile around the front sprocket when conditions are wet.  What was the intended purpose of the stock cover?  Safety?  Chain guiding?  Do people run without these on there?

I threw it away and went with an EE slave cover with the case protector arm. The cove is mostly to save you and the case if the chain snaps.

I cut the face off from it. Done it to four bikes now, about 1,400 hours with no issues. The factory cover fits close to the chain so it can't derail.
