80/100-14 tube in a 90/100-14 tire

so I got a new tire which is a 90/100-14 and then I asked for a tube the same size. when I got home I realized the tube was an 80/100-14. stupid of me not to look the the guy gave me the tube I know but did he give me that size on purpose or was it by mistake. could I run that size in that tire without a problem?

The 14 is the number that matters. You are fine.

It'll balloon up to whatever size the inside of the tire is.  Not that much difference there.  I'd run it.

If guys can make a 19" tube work on a 21" tire then you are absolutely golden. ?

Its rubber, after all.
