16 kx450f issues

I'm having issues with my bike. It started popping and backfiring and wouldn't Rev past 1/3rd throttle. It throws no codes. I took apart the fuel filter tried to clean the filter/bag of filament with air hose and brake cleaner and it ran fine for about 20 minutes and then started the same thing. When I got home, I checked for codes again and got nothing.

 

I replaced the fuel pump this past weekend and it ran great until the end of the ride and it started popping and backfiring and won't Rev past 1/3rd. The temps were in the 90's that day and I was with my daughter so I wasn't riding fast.

 

Rode hard the next day and it started the same thing after about 38 miles of hard riding. The temps were not near as hot. I noticed it started over a really rough section of whoops.

 

With no codes I'm scratching my head.

 

Any advice is appreciated.

I'll check it out.

TPS sensor is 5v in the sensor and .6v out.

I took it out yesterday and ran it for 10 minutes. As soon as it got to running temp it started popping and backfiring and not running right at all. Going to disassemble today and look for a short

Have you replaced the spark plug? I have seen EFI bikes run erratically and refuse to start and a new plug does the trick.

It's common to get some kind of bad wire/connection/short . I suggest you start with the simple first.
