2008 TTR 110 Throttle Question

Just bought my daughter her first bike, a ttr110. It starts, idles, and runs great, but the throttle doesn't seem to roll off correctly. The grip will spring back towards idle, but sticks just short and has to be twisted forward. Is this normal for this bike? The grip itself is not pushed in too far.

No, you have some stiction somewhere. Lube the cable first, then make sure the throttle tube doesn't have anything hanging it up.
