Just picked up his 14th career moto win. I figured that number would of been higher considering it's his 4th year. Looking back at Roczen and Dungeys outdoor careers puts things into perspective...

2010-Dungey 17 moto wins

2016-Roczen 20 moto wins

Yeah Roczen won all but 4 motos in '16.  One was due to an air fork sensor snafu.  He went 2-2 at Southwick, Tomac was just on fire that day.  I don't recall the 4th moto he didn't win, but he came in 2nd.

20 moto wins vs Tomac (IMHO) is more impressive than 24 wins vs Tim Ferry in '08.  I think Alessi might have been 2nd in points when he got run over at Red Bud.

Cody Cooper was James biggest threat for a win that year and it came at Unadilla...

Yeah he has under achieved but 2 years ago he ruined his shoulders and last year he ran up against a very fast and confident Roczen and apparently his shoulders weren't completely healed and the team had his bike setup for rear steering and now its more front oriented, atleast thats what I've heard.... If Roczen was healthy he might have the red place now but I think Eli would be right there with him.

You have a short memory!

The truth is, Kroc's speed freaked Tomac out. Tomac could not run 10 min strong before he stressed out and got arm pump. Tomac had nothing for Kroc and the same would be true if he were racing today.

never said anything about who would win, but everyone knows he has the speed (2015, ironically bucked by the same bike that robbed us of Kroc), needs to find consistency.  Kroc ET and Dunge all have had dominant stretches against eachother.

Tomac's shoulder wasn't 100% in 2016 and Kawi ran a rear steering setup because of it (credit Bowman).  That's why he was getting arm pump.

Since we're playing the IF game, if Tomac hadn't crashed in 2015 he'd have gone 24-0 in '15 and crushed Roczen outdoors last year.

That shit you smoke must be the real good stuff Red, because your hallucinating like a mofo!

You know why Tomac didn't go 24-0? Because he's not good enough to go 24-0.

You know why Roczen pushed in Tomacs shit last season? Because KRoc owns Tomacs ass. Just as he did in the MXoN where Tomac choked AGAIN.

You wanna know why he has wins right now? Because Dungey and KRoc aren't there. Even with them out due to retirement and injury, he still has his hands full with more than he wants.

  • Where is Dungey?  Oh, took his ball and went home you say?
  • Where is Roczen?  Oh, he has a very risky riding style that put him on the ground you say?
  • Who has the red plate?  Tomac you say?

Only a true swinger has the cahones to compare Eli with his 1 sx 250 title and 1 mx 250 title to Roczen with 1 world 250 title, 1 sx 250 title and 2 450 mx titles. Let alone Dungeys 2 250 titles and 7 450 titles. Hats off to you, keep the grip strong!

I was impressed the way he's rode the last 2 rounds. He obviously the fastest guy out there but he's smoothed out that speed and looks more comfortable. Even at Lakewood when Blake was faster he didn't push himself into a mistake and be in more of a deficit. Red Bud looked like he could of gone faster if needed but he did what he needed to do. In a way losing the SX title to Dungey might of been the best thing to happen to Eli since moving up. He looks to be riding a lot smarter out there just needs to limit the mistakes a little more....

They're at home......wearing the championship rings they pried away from Tomac numerous times.

Although the final results didn't show it (bike malfunction) Tomac destroyed RD in SX and RD didn't want any part of the outdoors.
Another bike malfunction this mx put Eli behind early, but he already quickly recovered and put his competition in their place.

The final result is what matters right? It is what they race for. I always resort back to the story of the tortoise and the hare.
