Rekluse z-start pro issue??

Recommended Posts

Hey guys have a bike in the shop that the customer believed to have a transmission issue. Said bike stalled.....ran great in neutral but dies as soon as you dropped in gear even with the clutch pulled. Anyways I get it tore apart to find 3 clutch plates busted and a transmission full of whatever is left of those plates. Anyways my question is has anyone ever had an issue with a rekluse busting oem clutch plates? And do you guys think I have a deeper issue that I should split the cases for? Gear box spins smooth with the clutch removed....shifts through all 5 gears and feels great. Was this just a fluke? Put new plates In and go?

I've had the z-start pro in two bikes now and have not had an issue with any brand plates. I've used cheapo tusk, oem, rekluse, barnett, and Hinson. I've not heard of the issue you've had? I'd call rekluse. Their customer service is top notch.
