Hot Air Sucks

Recommended Posts

So I know hot air is always bad for

motors but is there anything I can do to have my bike still run strong in hot tempatures? In the morning it's 75 degrees and the bike runs great but after work it's around 95 and the idle is lower and seems to run sluggish. Any fix or is this just the way it is?

not really I had the same experience with the DRZ. Fuel injection helps but obviously not the answer you are looking for. Adjusting the fuel screw may help a smidge but you're better off trying to jet it leaner and see if it's a good trade off for temps you ride in. Short answer: that's the way it is but you might be able to improve a bit depending on how dialed in your current jetting is.

i'd leave it .. you could run it leaner but then your making more heat to .. but ive noticed it in 'all' vehicles even cars, they just run so much better on a cool morning ...
