Yz250 airboot to airbox foam gasket?

Recommended Posts

Pulling my 00 yz250 down i found the foam seal between the airboot and airbox to be completely gone. Only genuine part ive found is about 70 bucks which is rediculous for a piece of foam.

Any other models or years interchangable? Or any other options to make 1?

Thanks

If shipping costs suck and you can't get that one, you can use thin window foam for houshold uses that come in a roll from the hardware stores.

Making one should be easy. Search eBay for some 3mm thick gasket sheet. You'll find various types. Get something soft if you can. Then trace one out.  Use some oil resistant sealant on both sides for extra piece of mind.

That costs $70 from the dealer??? I had to buy the small plastic piece from the gas cap breather (Very brittle..broke so easily) for $25 Cdn and grumbled to the parts guy. What a ripoff. This must be worse than KTM pricing.
