Enduro light kit for 2011 YZ450F EFI.

Recommended Posts

I've found a few very old threads on this forum talking about making a yz450f 2011 model have street legal lighting. Blinkers, headlight with high and low, and brake light. I've found that Baja designs makes a head light wiring harness that is easily put on the bike, plug and play supposedly? Has anyone done this and made all the lights run completely off the bikes electrical system without having to use a stand alone battery that is rechargeable or adding a battery that is charged by the bike while its ruining? Everyone who has, hasn't logged in this forum in years so I'm left at a loss with the matter. Not wanting to do any type of touring or heavy road use, just need it to be legal to drive it to a trail head without getting pulled over and my bike being confiscated as they do in my area.

   -Thanks.

Edit: I've seen that Tusk makes a kit, minus a headlight, that comes with "everything" but still runs the lights off a battery.

BD makes kits that require no battery.....you need to call them about the specifics.

The ones above use a 'micro' battery designed to keep the lights on for a short time with the motor off, and eliminate the problems associtated with the stock stator power.

Good sight too. From UK but responds quick and ships UPS cheap. His also comes with the speedo too. It's around $500 converted to USD when all said and done right now shipped. British pound is 1.30 per our dollar right now.
