Beta throttle cable

Recommended Posts

Once again, how does/can Beta get away with a single cable on the 4stk bikes and all the Japanese bikes still have a dual setup? All are FI, is the Synerject that different?

My understanding is it is a liability thing, not a mechanical one. The same with the gas tank vent check valves and tip over shut offs.

The push/pull cables are a carry-over from the days when a slide could stick due to vacuum and you had to be able to pull it closed. The butterfly used in efi throttle bodies is closed by a spring. A second cable is redundant.

Yep, that is what Krannie said  when I saw pics of his with the single cable. So the Japanese are just afraid of the lawyers and continue with the twin cables? Chris, your bike has a carb which eliminates it from this thread.
