99/00 rm 250

Recommended Posts

I got this bike to flip it. I cleaned the carb and tank. It fired right up. Has good compression and an fmf fatty pipe. The p.o said that he never re-jetted after the pipe. So, it has a 165 main and a 45 pilot. Is that the stock jets?  Not sure where the needle is. I gotta get some gas and oil so I can rip on it a bit and see what it's like.

Thanks for the info. I went for a little spin yesterday and the thing runs great. I still didn't check the needle position tho. But, the carb was overflowing big time so that would lead to running crappy, I think. I fixed that. What's the old saying, if it aint broke, don't fix it. :)  I went to get a new plug for it yesterday, $40 for a spark plug!??? Yikes!
