2000 YZ426F boil coolant.

Recommended Posts

I had my bike idling for 10 minutes and started leaking out of the over flow on the radiator and boils. Does it have a water pump? What causes it to do that?

Radiator cap weak worn spring   /    replace

blown head gasket pressuring coolant system

cracked head in a coolant port

simple check as follows,

get a clear plastic bottle fill with water, warm up the bike 2-3 min, and only CRACK the radiator cap to release air. tighten cap, take the overflow tube for the radiator put it in the bottle of water and restart bike, these bikes get hot quickly without air, within 5 min the bike will be hot. if you see constant bubbles coming out of the overflow tube in the bottle of water, something is pressurizing the cooling system witch shouldn't happen. if you don't, replace cap.

if it does, you have a problem noted above.

good luck
