Yamaha TTR225 Front Forks and Rear Shock

Recommended Posts

This bike has the factory set-up and I need to replace the front fork seals.  From what I see in the service manual I need a special wrench to hold the damper rod in order to remove the damper rod bolt.  I see Bikemaster makes tools for suspension.  Does anyone know which tool should be used, or if there is another way to hold the rod to remove the bolt?

Also, is there a higher rate spring that I can buy for the front forks and the rear shock?

After doing the replacement work how do you torque the bolt without holding the rod?  I have never taken a fork apart and I am getting my guidance from the factory service manual.
