Skid Plate

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a skid plate for my 2006 YZ250. I have a WC glide plate on it now but want more protection. Was looking at Cycra and the new WC titan skid plates. Anyone have any opinions on what they like best?

I have used Ricochet and Flatland Racing (also US made) skid plates. Both are well made and hold up to some severe use.

Had a carbon fiber plate on a 2000 KTM that didn't last long.

The '12 Honda's alum frame got dented when I tried a Cycra. I added a 1/4" sheet of UHMWPE to the bottom of that plate and it then worked ok.

No experience with Works Connection.

There is a Polisport hanging off the bottom of the WR. Poor mounting design that got revised. No idea how it will hold up.

And if you walk in their front door you get a hefty discount.

That would be nice if I was closer to them. But I just do the RMATV.
