2006 YZ250F Fork Leaking

Recommended Posts

So, I have already rebuilt the forks on this bike, but I am still having issues with the forks leaking.  I am really not sure if the seals are installed correctly.  Is it possible to install upside down? Also, I'm pretty sure the oil is traveling down to my brakes and getting on the pads.  Any way to clean these?

Yes you can place the rings upside down. Change them and clean pads and disc with brakeclean

cheers

I'm not sure what you could put upside down.  The bushings do not have an up or down per se, and the oil seal and dust seal have an obvious orientation.   I'm not sure that it is possible to drive upside down.  Did you replace the bushings while you were in there?

Yes, the bushings were replaced at the same time.  I didn't think I could put the seals in any other way, but I thought I read somewhere stating that they could.  Not sure what could be my issue at this point.
