Setting Sag on KX65

Recommended Posts

Ballpark starting point is to set the sag at 1/3rd (33%) of the total rear suspension travel.

Afterwards, ideally the free sag should be about 25% to 30% of the race sag measurement,

if less than 20% or more than 40% it could then mean the spring's rate is not suited for the rider's weight.

Example on a full-sized bike:

total travel: 300mm

race sage:  100mm

free sag:      25mm   (free sag range of 20mm to 40mm)
