Was I supposed to use a new gasket?

Recommended Posts

So after reinstalling my carburetor using the old float bowl gasket I have some seepage of fuel just a tiny bit but enough to bother me should I have used a new gasket I'm sure it's been years since that bull has came off. And sorry for the misspelling speech to text on my phone.

Also it takes a little bit for it to show I took it out four to five minutes pins to check my jetting by the way 175 main 45 pilot blue needle clip on third position amazing low-end tractor power mid-range torque and pretty damn good high end top end rather. Again I am at sea level and I ride up to about 700ft to a thousand feet temperature roughly average 50 degrees Fahrenheit to 67 degrees Fahrenheit

They usually last several years, but at some point they need to be replaced. I just replaced mine a few weeks ago for the same reason. 2002 yz250, pretty sure it was the original bowl gasket.
