Lowering YZ250X

Recommended Posts

I’m 6’0 and I still feel like my bike is too tall. I cannot stand flat footed even with my sag set correctly. The suspension is awesome but in the tight stuff there’s sometimes I want the seat height about 3/4” lower.

Ive read about lowering links and lowering services but don’t want to break the bank either. Anyone lower their 250X and can give feedback?

yesterdays mud moment for humor purposes!

Really easy to just shave the seat, and you can definitely get 3/4" lower. Here is my tutorial. Lowered mine over an inch.

I never thought of this but I plan on buying a seat concepts kit. An old tailbone injury is almost demanding it.

At 6' you don't need a "lowering link" in the traditional sense. Get a short travel link that lets your feet get a little more contact.
