2003 CRF150F float height setting

Boy, I'm glad I don't have to use the forums new search function very often, cause it blows.

I'm replacing some parts in the carb and oring kit in this model and I need to know what the float height setting is supposed to be.

It is set way high to my eye, but I'm used to setting XR floats. The carb looks about the same as that on an XR200 and it gets a setting of 12.5mm.

Thanks for any info.

Thanks, but the carb is apart on the bench and I was hoping for a height spec.

You could look it up in your genuine Honda factory OEM shop manual....
Set it and double check your work, that it's correct, using the hose method.

12.5mm or .49 inches. Straight from the Honda factory service manual.

Thanks. I couldn't find a shop manual online. Not a free one anyway, to just be able to get the spec, and the owners manual doesn't list it.

Out of curiosity will the hose method work on any carb? Do fuel levels mainly stay at the top of the bowl?

Yes and yes. Spot on.... BUT: on a 230f stock carb,

keep in mind that the carb needs to be completely level for best results.

The bike resting on the side stand is not going to get it done....

So hold the hose up next to the carb and crack the drain screw loose? Super simple !
