Trail Tech X2 on a 200 with no stock light?

Recommended Posts

Hey smarter people than me, yes that's most of you.  I have a 2012 200 xcw without a stock light.  Bought an X2 light and am wondering how to wire it up.  I don't necessarily need a switch as I would prefer to have the light on whenever it's running as a friend does.  Any tips?  Does anyone know what wire is hot on the 200.  It has a plug for a light but wire colors are completely different.  My bike has brown/white/white-grey.

use a volt meter to determine which wire is ground and which are hot, then wire to stock wires accordingly. I would use some quick disconnects so you will have ability to remove light when needed. When installing disconnects, use differing directions for them so when light is removed, it will only plug back in 1 direction.

Thanks for the advice.  I might have got it working but I do like the idea of on/off ease.  Thanks man.
