1992 wr500

Will a yz490 jug fit on my wr500 bottom end? If not . Where could i get my wr500 jug re sleeved?

An 87 and newer should be the same as your wr they share the same part number. The 84-86 I think may bolt up but the porting is different , different part number.

How bad is your cylinder? You should be able to go 2mm over stock on a rebore.

Yes 87 - 90 yz490 jug will fit

La Sleeve do a re-sleeve

Okay thanks! And you know how the cylinder has the two ends that stick out and go in the bottom end? One of those broke off . Not sure how else to describe it lol

Get ready to have a grin that will last for weeks when you get it running.

I mix at 20-1 my IT465 has a 490 jug bored out 510cc.

The Big Blue cloud is your friend do not listen to those who say mix at 50-1 or what ever.

Info on IT465/490 and YZ465/490 is also applicable to the WR500.

You can have the squish band done to the head or do like I do and run TWO head gaskets.

There is nothing like riding a 500cc two stroke.

Thats what i like to hear! . If i were to keep my jug (wr500) and put the 490 sleeve in it and get a stock wr500 piston and rings. Will all of that fit right?

And also would a yz490 exhaust fit on a wr500?

50:1 if fine with synthetic matter of fact some manufacturers recommend even higher. Read the bottle not the web.
