Almost finished my Kx250 street legal enduro check it out

Recommended Posts

I traded my built cr125 for this 2001 kx250 enduro because it already had a street legal title but there was no wiring harness for the lights and and when i tested compression it read 210psi warm. Kicked over eazy and like them all he claimed it had a brand new cylinder and top end. I tore down the cylinder to check clearences and found the plating coming off slighty. It looked like someone honed it too fast coming out of the cylinder at the top edges. So anyways i sent it put to powerseal got the weld bore plate and hone job and a new crank and wiesco piston. Along with all the bells and whistles. I ordered a steathy lighting stator for it has anyone had any experience with them? Good or bad? I had the lights set up on the powerjet but that wasnt enough for me and it puts out ac power so my leds wouldnt come on. I know the stealthy offroad stator is also AC but i plan to run it through a ac to dc 12 conversion regulator. I found one on ebay for 16 bucks and i ordered a 15w led h4 bulb for the headlight. Check out my pics and let me know what you guys think. 20170813_232510.jpg20170813_232421.jpg20170813_232421.jpg20170813_232421.jpg20170813_173938.jpg20170813_232612.jpg20170813_232539.jpg20170813_224312.jpg20170803_093949.jpg20170802_160526.jpg0712171124.jpg0712171254.jpg0710172048.jpg

Sweet.

Did my 2002 KX a few months ago after years of procrastination.  AZ only requires you to sign a form that states you have a headlight, taillight, brake light on front or rear brake, a mirror and a horn.  No inspection.  Feel sorry for you guys in less free states.

Powerjet circuit is 12v dc at the carb.  There is a regulator/rectifier on the frame near the steering head.  If you take the power after that, it's 12v dc. If you take power from the coil before the regulator, it will be AC.

Australian road laws state that the bike needs a factory compliance plate that states it's tested to ADR ( Australian Design Rules)  standards same  as a car .
