Yz85 clutch hub

Hey guys.

I recently damaged the inner clutch hub on my daughters 2006 yz85. My question is. Is the hub the same on the yz125. The reason i ask is that i seen one for sale and said it would suit both bikes.

The 85 is xxxx-10 1000
The 125 is xxxx-11 1000

The 5PA versus 5NY might be a problem, I just don't know. Sorry maybe bumping this will get it in front of The right person, several people on here really good with part numbers

Understanding yamaha part numbers

Here's a thread on how to read part numbers. Hope this helps.

According to this, only the 5 digit number in the middle of the part number indicates actual function or interchangeability.

From reading that they are the same part. Someone correct me if i mis interpreted this.

They are both 16371, so if that thread is correct then yes. I personally have never tried a yz125 clutch hub in a yz85 though.

I got the part numbers from yamaha. So my kid is about to have a yz85 with a yz125 clutch. Moght be a selling point down the track lol.

Theres a few for the 85 on ebay - not that expensive - and they read only for the 85
