'17 CRF250r off road setting?

Recommended Posts

Helping a friend set up his bike for single track. I know nothing about air forks. Anyone have any settings they might recommend? My buddy wants to soften it up and make it a little plusher over the rocks and roots.

You have to get it revalved to soften it up for the woods. Just changing the air pressures isn't enough to make it nice. The stock valving is really stiff for mx.

From what I understand, the adjustments in air forks allow to mimic the following in a standard spring fork:

inner pressure = main spring
outer pressure = oil level / bottoming resistance
balance chamber = spring preload / sag

Any reason why your friend picked a high strung MX race bike rather than an enduro specific one for this type of usage?
