TW200 tweaked??

Recommended Posts

Has anyone seen this happen before?

I have removed everything I could at one point to go over entire bike and noticed the frame is not exactly straight. There are no signs of cracked paint or damage.

The frame is definitely bent, but rides straight. it is approx. 1/2" out from centerline

Not unusual to see stuff like this after an accident.  The only thing that might be a concern is excessive chain and front sprocket wear because the front and rear sprockets are no longer in alignment.

A good auto body and frame shop should have no problem pulling it back, but that process may create a weakness that may not exist now.

Thats the odd thing. Everything behind the main backbone is in line. The seat, tank and steering are sitting off to the side. The bike steers straight down the road with no hands.

The neck is approx 1/2" off center

im trying to figure out what’s wrong with my 02 Yamaha xt225 it’s probably same frame on mine , but I haven’t checked the frame yet Just was looking at the forks and I rotated the tubes in the triple clamps and didn’t see any bends hub is straight rim is slightly bent but don’t seam like it would make the rim look at a angle like that ? Any ideas I’m stumped thanks [emoji106]
