ISDE World Trophy Team Out

 Team USA Currently sits in 16th place

Today was a bad day for the US ISDE effort. US World Trophy Team member Thad DuVall went down near the end of the first test of the day and injured his wrist. Though he continued to ride the 50-some kilometer transfer, when he got to the next test the pain was too much to continue.

Thad had his wrist evaluated at the track and then x-rayed later, and was told he needed to see a specialist.

This virtually puts the US World Trophy Team out of the running, although Taylor Robert, Kailub Russell and Ryan Sipes can continue to compete for individual honors, and after one day, Taylor is sitting third, about 8 seconds out of the lead.

I wouldn't consider them out yet, but they have a huge uphill task.  For the next 5 days, all 3 have to have perfect specials and no mechanical issues.

Given the track record of the remaining 3, maybe....just maybe they can do it.  Can you think of any other 3 you would want in this position?

No...literally they are out of the running for the Team Overall. There are no drops this year for the World Trophy Teams.

While I am bummed that Thad is out of ISDE, I'm more bummed that this could be a huge blow to him challenging Kailub for the GNCC title this season. That was setting up to be a great final few races.

Man, my bad.  I knew they cut the teams back but didn't know they threw out the drop.
