Are there several different FCR MX Carbs?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

My first post here :)

I know that there are some with tps, hotstart and AVC, and some without.

Is there eny other differences between the MX carbs?

The one I have is a 39 MX from a 2004 Husaberg FE 450

Thanks in advance, you guys rule!

2000 till present

About 15 different versions

Honda drove a lot of the development, for thier CRF line. By 2008, the carb had reached it's pinnacle, and was truly fantastic. That model was only seen on the CRF450R for one year.

The biggest differences other than diameter were the inclusion/exclusion of the ACV idle enrichening system that was designed for bikes with AIS, the perf/non-perf emulsion tubes (needle jet), apump flow/throw/squirt,  and the final 'reversed' apump linkage on the 2008 that elminated the need for the spring or oring mod. The 'slant' non CR-MX carbs (first couple of years) were belching messes, that took several mods to get any real throttle response.

If you ordered enough of the FCR for your model line, you could get them however you wanted.
