Fan setting?

How is the electric fan set to turn on? I assume it is somehow thermocouple/thermostat controlled? Is it adjustable? 2014 xcfw250.

i just bought and installed a ktm fan onto my 2012 250xcf this spring. If your's is the same, it has a thermometer that you press right into coils on back of rad.  You can change setting by holding down button on digital display until it starts flashing, also choosing F or C for us Canadians.  I read around everywhere to see what temperature to set it at and couldn't really find much, so set it at 85C.  I only got 1 ride in before our back country was closed for forest fire risk, so not sure if that was a good temp setting or not

I just ordered a fan last night and was pondering what temp I was going to set it to come on at. I was thinking about setting it somewhere around 200 degrees F, as the alleged boiling point for my coolant (engine ice) is around 256 degrees F. My logic could be flawed, but it seems reasonable.

fan seemed to work well for my 1 ride on a hot day, the only negative thing was that it blows all that hot air on my right leg.  That leg gets kinda warm.
