Looking for a wrenching buddy - Los Angeles (Glendale) area

I'm looking for anyone who is interested in meeting up to work on their bikes occassionally. I prefer to work on my own bike rather than pay a mechanic so that I can learn and be more self reliant. Youtube videos, forums like this and shop manuals have been great but it would be helpful to tinker along with another rider.

I ride a '05 DRZ400S. I've had it for 2 years and it's my first bike in 30+ years. I'm in my 50's and live in La Crescenta (north Glendale). Specific things I'm interested in getting dialed in are jetting/carb adjustment  (I did the 3x3 mod with the JD kit), and suspension tuning (I put a stiffer spring in the rear per the RaceTech site - no other changes).
