Pump rotor dissasemble

Recommended Posts

Hi Giys,

My bike is leaking by the weep hole. I removed the pump cover but cant remove the pump rotor, as the whole bike wants to move. Is there a trick to get it out without removing the whole clutch cover?

Bike is a 08 wrf450

Your best bet is to remove the cover...   you risk damage by trying to remove it without doing so.

There is a reason there are wrench flats on the impeller shaft but they are only accessible by removing the cover.

You will have to remove the brake pedal, clutch cover, kick starter lever, and side cover. Fortunately you can make the repair with the engine in the frame.

You should probably order a new impeller shaft and seals if you haven't already done so.
